Alan’s love of photography led naturally to a love of film a medium in which he has worked as director of photography, cinematographer, director, editor, and producer.

“I live music 18 hours a day.”
With his first studies of flamenco guitar in 1968 to his musical apprenticeship with Pandit Ravi Shankar, which began in 1978, Alan has been as enthusiastic about playing music as he has been about recording and filming it.
